How it started...
Mobile Reels was born when we noticed a gap for actors trying to break into the industry. You need material for your reel to get booked, but you need to get booked to get good material. And when you do get booked, the roles often don't really let you shine.
We found services that write and produce material for actors, but at prices that make them inaccessible to most people.
So, Mary Ashley, with her background in professional writing and directing, and Nate, with his background in TV and film production, decided to launch Mobile Reels.
We're a small team with low overhead, so we can deliver professional-quality material at a more affordable price, completely customized to your needs.
Mary Ashley
Mary Ashley has been writing professionally since 2010. Her career led her to Hollywood, where she worked as a development assistant, a producer, a writer and director of two web series, and a creative assistant to writer-directors who needed help with pitches, outlines, and scripts for film and TV. She was also staffed on the Audible Original Series YES WE CANNABIS, a project she worked on from its inception.
Nate
Nate's Film and TV career started in Locations, where he worked on projects such as Better Call Saul, HIM, Creed II, Coyote vs. Acme, and El Camino. After moving to Los Angeles to become a cinematographer, he realized he was passionate about acting, which he has pursued in between other video/photography work.
